Gilmore Girls

Check Out This Site To Stay Updated On Everything Gilmore Related Gilmore News.

As a few of you already know, Gilmore Girls is my favorite show and it obviously had to be the first television show I put on the site. I have made 6 tours of the studio but they were after the series had ended so most of the pictures of the buildings from Stars Hollow are missing the business names. Maybe that will be more interesting to see?

I have been to almost all of the locations that took place off the main Warner Brothers lot and the ones missing will be seen and photographed on a future trip. You will see that I mention the Warner Brothers Ranch a few times. The ranch is private but hopefully some day I will get lucky and get on there so I can add those pictures.

I have been to the Independence Inn from the show but part of the agreement for being invited I was to not allowed to post pictures on the internet. It is as beautiful in person as it was on television. Maybe some day that will change.

The locations are listed per the season in which they were shown. I have started to put each episode on an individual page and added some pictures to the locations. Also, I have started to add screen shots to each episode to compare how it looked when the episode was shown compared to how it looks today. Yes that is me in a couple of my pictures. Check out a few props that I have collected shown at the bottom of this page.

Enjoy

Does Anybody Recognize These Places From The Opening Credits? These Pictures Were Taken By My Friend Thomas Pucher From The Falcon Crest Website. The First One Matches The Very Beginning Of The Opening Credits With The Other Two Showing A Closer Look.
This Location Is The Town Of South Royalton Vermont. Thank You Thomas.

  1. Your collection is amazing,
but it depresses me that even someone as well organzied as you doesn't have ANY pictures of the Gilmore grandparents' mansion.

  2. If you mean the one in Canada it will happen some day but if you mean the one used for the rest of the series it is hard to believe the whole thing was a set indoors at a Warner Brothers soundstage.

  5. The Independence Inn is the inn/hotel that Lorelai runs from season one through season three until it has a fire in the show. In real life it is a private residence and estate. It is where Sookie gets married at the end of season two.

  6. This is so neat to see. You have a really great collection here. I've always wondered though was Truncheon Books a set?

  7. Great job! Do you know which location they used for the interior shots of the lunchroom at Chilton?

    1. I believe that was a set. It was big looking though and it looked like a real location. I toured the set when Rory was in college and the Yale lunch room was there and it looked a lot like the Chilton one.

I already made Lorelai's house, Sookie's house, Lane's house/Kim's antiques, Miss Patty's and the gazebo. This is the link with some photos(http://brunasc.deviantart.com/ )if you want see the models. I wanna thank you, your site is helping me a lot!!

  10. I also love Gilmore Girls and have wanted to move to "Stars Hollow" (or a town like it) ever since. Do you know where the town square area was recorded. I'm hoping it's not a set cause I wanna visit there (and if I like it, move there). I heard that the scene of the town square in the pilot was filmed in Unionville, Toronto, but I've looked at some pictures and it doesn't look the same. Can you help me figure this out?

    1. The town square is at the Warner Brothers Studio (I believe the pilot was the only one filmed in Canada). You can actually take a tour of the place (it's in Burbank, California) and see the town square! They use it for Pretty Little Liars now, so the gazebo is gone :(

  11. The Inn used to be the Walton's house

    1. Yes you are right. But when it was the Walton's house it was on the main WB lot and not on the Ranch. It was in the jungle section of Warner Bros. :)

  13. The STARS HOLLOW outdoor set with town square can also be seen in the original Music Man film as River City.
