  6. The building that Cooley High was in, is the old Lane Tech; that moved out in the 30s for the new school at Addison & Western.

  7. The theater scenes were filmed at the Adelphi theater (since demolished) at the corner of Estes & Clark (southwest corner) We lived across the street at the time, and were watching the filming.

  10. The CTA bus they jumped on the back of #388, was a 1963 GMC so it fit the time period of the film One bus from this series still exists today and is in the CTA historical collection.

  11. The bridge scene with Leroy and Brenda was actually shot from the 3 story highOgden overpass over the river near Halsted and what was then Cabrini Green. They are walking on the overpass in the next scene with distinct motifs concrete balustrades and the Wolf Point "Y" logo. The Ogden ave bridge and overpass structure were demolished in 1993.

  12. Your incorrect about the guys arriving at the zoo where the entrance has changed. That building is where the characters went to school. That location is Providence-St. Mel High School 119 S Central Park. There is also a scene in that schools bathroom where Garrett Morris (teacher) smokes a joint with one of his colleagues.
