I’ve managed to work out the location of the original house. Unfortunately it was demolished in 2007 to make way for a new house.
ReplyDeleteThe address is 321 S Chadbourne Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90049
Unfortunately the earliest Google Street View shows the end of the demolition. The only picture I could find of the house is here.
Hi, thank you for the info. That really helps but it is sad that it is now gone. Classic movie house. Thanks again.
DeleteThat does suck! Great house, awesome movie!
ReplyDeleteThere's an overhead view of the Engstrum Apartments and the old Bunker Hill Steps (now both demolished) here: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/wbdxhE4mcqwEfXqHwLxDiMOMdu8vmYKuDHXdHc4anwbg8eObdo4eEbG1eujJRzGFdN-rWkOSBmOlxnbRfTAsdu936UZaXJdFoi7krMf3WfbKWc6XXnnjgpngXtqwW595wiDMYCEgortxnGXL_-tnAl-YLm-rxLuNIr3yTk8ovXinqwCWXhTFRSeSMpd4H_7rBRBhiqXeTtrL_VoE-Wei2DZCf60fnior9cCWMWhXqYqXk68N35EBPNk_cVpvyBWo_to8DkTluPA8omUuY_RIfYafi3k4entzTvVzbHL6ndr6CjXBuzBCvZQjSi3muThuY2Nr1odFXr_jtrnwrAY6Y_gXm8M7EHeCxc2OKnpncQebQo1q-klqtLCTZtmyZWJ8-CmRjHWHGyDzEj54mOTlwVFfDNpCJln1Twu0-R4iml7mtOpgM29rNb2VCh20oWyNkKuWLR4IFolFxt_U0ILFUXFFT4GSWd7E2LBhzZrCJW71f4ufdIgW4260zzOKEYX1QtyAUgg8lO-VBNMMlmLsJs0gpnDXepQDQYRn43Hh2Pp7r_wM28hN0nU0rJmHx6nkZapoaxHoX8omf0hDD4H6ym6vpjafkCN8fdRhnLPLAX5EGnxNGQldfg=w895-h362-no
