  1. (0:40) The Apartment Exterior With The Shootout is 425 W. Surf Chicago Illinois. I remember them shooting this scene and you can confirm with streetview on google maps.

    1. Hi, thank you for the info as it has now been added to the page.

  2. (0:08) The Farm House Where The Gang Organizes was filmed near Saint Anne, Il

  3. The interior of the Biograph Theater where Dillinger is watching the film before he is shot is The Portage Theater 4050 N. Milwaukee in Chicago.

  4. The scene in that was supposed to be the Lake County Courthouse and lockup was actually filmed in the REAL lockup in the old 010th District, 2259 S. Damen, Chicago. The police station has been closed and moved to Ogden and Kedzie but they still use the old station for police/prison locations. Where else are you gonna get a real police station with an intact cellblock/lockup? I was a cop in that station for 30 years and I know those old brick walls like I know the back of my hand.

  5. The theater scene in the middle of the movie where Dilinger sees the wanted ad of himself before the film starts is the Paramount Theater in Aurora, IL.

  6. The farmhouse at 0:08 is located at 6550 S 10000E Rd
St Anne, IL. The house is still standing but inaccessible.

  7. The (1:55) Dillinger [In The Park] Reading Billie's Letter is on the east side of Lockport (IL) City Hall facing south. The curb & trees are the south side of the City Hall parking lot. In the background is the Gladys Fox community center.

  8. The brothel location is the Carriage House Bed & Breakfast 300 S Dickason Blvd, Columbus WI, 53925

  9. From Lafayette County Courthouse - Darlington, WI
Johnny Depp stood trial for Public Enemies at the courthouse in handcuffs and leg shackles at the Lafayette County Courthouse, which substituted for the Lake County Courthouse in Crown Point, Indiana, where Dillinger was arraigned after being captured.

  10. Also, much more from for this movie incl. more than this last piece I’ll share: Downtown - Columbus
For Public Enemies, all of downtown Columbus was converted into Greencastle, Indiana, circa-1933: the site of a $75,000 robbery by Dillinger and his gang with the West James Gallery made into the Central National Bank. The city was selected because of its “Good Bones”- the entire downtown commercial area is on the National Historic Register.

    Hotel Rogers
    Beaver Dam
For Enemies, the historic Hotel Rogers stood in for Tucson's Hotel Congress, the site of the Dillinger gang's capture after a fire broke out and the outlaws were recognized by authorities.

  11. The Court house is not in Crown Point. It’s actually in Darlington WI
