  1. That old bank building was the Broadway Bank (formerly owned by the Giannoulias family). I used to have my office on the mezzanine, and there was a travel agency (owned by Mrs. G, and which I often used) in the NE corner of the lobby. The place is a registered historic landmark, built as an auto showroom from the heyday of B’way as Auto Row in the 1920s-30s. Hard to see from the shot, but the intricate terracotta work on the exterior, and the gorgeous interior marble columns and terrazzo floor are original. “The Vault” restaurant is fake, of course. The building is available for rent as an event space.
