  1. Myra Fleener's is in Danville. My wife lived across the street at the time (she was a kid then). We're in Los Angeles these days and I'm a fellow location hunter myself!

  2. Hi, if you come back to this page could you give me a little more detail as I would love to add it. Thanks for stopping by and giving me a heads up

  3. Is that kid...Cassie Boyd? The boyds lived across the street...south of Danville, IN on Mackey road. Come to T then trun right about 1/4 mile. In fcat, when they shot the movie you could see the lane Coach dale and Myra walked down when she reads the note (I think that's when it happens.) A little more Hoosier's trivai. My dentist is Ray Butcher (Got'em a good one didn't I coach). That's Steve Hollar Warsaw, IN.

  4. Love your pictures. My girls went to Nineveh while they were filming. I loved the old school. I remember seeing Gene Hackman leaning over the rails of the top floor during our teachers conference. The roadies used to give them candy and make them laugh. I will have to find my old pictures of the schoolbus they used. If you are interested email me at lynlette@aol.com.

  7. Wow. Love the work you've gone to finding these locations. I'd always wondered where Hoosiers was filmed - it's one of my all-time favorite films. I think, partly because it reminds so much of my GreatGrandmother's town, school, farm, etc. Will check back here from time to time to see if you locate the Fleenor farm and Shooter's place! : )

  8. Any clue where at in Brown County? Thanks!

  9. Watching Hoosiers now and came across this sight! Thanks for the info! We live near Crawfordsville, so we'll have to check out a couple of places!

  10. Theres a couple of shots i think that were at Nineveh. I went there in 1975 - 1980 . The locker room where Gene talks to them looks like the lockerroom down stairs beside the old gym. also, there is a shot in that movie where they are lined up against the wall and a water fountain is to the ledt of Gene. That looks like Nimeveh also. as they painted the wall blue ,whitestripe and grey. where jimmy is outside shootong hoops is out back of nineveh. i got picks after the movie of the old goal post laying down.

  11. I was told the Fleener house was in Danville and I believe it was owned by the Whickers. I was taken to a place called Camp Short, just outside of Clayton In. Was told at that time it was used for Shooters house. I distinctly remember that house a.d the Cree. The Camp was no longer in use and can't to this day find information on it.

    1. Thank you for the correction. I saw the other house was 2095 so I just assumed my guess was close. Can you explain where the second screen shot is? I figured out the first one on what direction it was facing. But cant figure out the second one.

    2. That second screen shot you show, after the Fleener house, is not on the Fleener property. It may have been captured somewhere nearby, though, in Hendricks County. And some of the previous posts on here are incorrect. No filming was done in Brown County, and no scenes of homes, farms, or locker rooms were captured in Nineveh--only the school interiors and exteriors.

  14. Thank you so much for the information. My brother and I are now going to tour the areas and you have helped me organize our trip!!!

  15. I have found most of these locations with the help of this site. Thank you. It has been fun. Does anyone have info on where the old steel or iron bridge is or was located in the Hoosiers movie?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The iron truss Brown Bridge ran north and south and crossed Sugar Creek on County Road 175 E, just north of I-74 and Crawfordsville, in central Montgomery County. Although the road still spans the creek, the 78-year-old iron truss was removed in 1991.

  16. Can't tell you what a kick I get out of watching this movie. I grew up in Lebanon and spent my Junior High gym class career in that drafty ol' gym. So many of my classmates are extras in the "Regional Champs Game" scenes. Love it! Also love that the Indiana Pacers are playing part time as "Hickory" this year

  19. I've noticed you never mention the State in your descriptions. I don't know where Danville or New Richmond are located.

    1. Dude it’s all Indiana, hence “Hoosiers”. Are you joking?

      Delete
    2. Hi, I figured since it is listed as an Indiana movie it would not be necessary to list the state as long as it is Indiana. If a scene would have been filmed in a neighboring state then I would have put the state with it.

  20. Hi, Big fan of this movie! Any idea of where the dirt basket court Jimmy is shooting at is located pretty early on in the movie? Guessing someone's backyard. It would kind of surreal to visit that spot today.

    1. I truly believe it was behind the high school. In the commentary they said the had plane issues.

    2. The dirt basketball court was definitely next to or behind the Nineveh school.
