  2. Hello!

We're wondering where Tommy Lee Jones offices were set. Was that a Los Angeles office that they just put in Chicago scenes for? It looked like it was on Michigan Ave. looking west, like just north of the Wrigley.

    2. Marshal's office was at 330 N Wabash - the former "One IBM Plaza". IBM has since moved out and it is now a hotel of some sort. When this was filmed, the Chicago Sun Times was at 401 N Wabash - now replaced by the Trump Tower.

    3. The office was definitely in 444 N Michigan Avenue on the 27th floor. I worked on the 33rd floor at the time, and building workers were able to tour the set after shooting wrapped. The following is from an info sheet published by building management:
      - The cast and crew at 444 included approximately 250 people.
      - Demolition took 4 days.
      - Set construction 3 days.
      - Filming 5 days.
      - Both day and night filming took place at 444.
      - One day shooting usually results in 1 to 1/2 minutes film time.
      - Tommy Lee Jones was the star for much of the shooting on the 27th floor.
      - This past Saturday, a scene was shot in 444’s lobby with Harrison Ford.

  3. Hello,

I believe the offices were in Chicago but never really tried to pinpoint them as the locations I put up are usually ones that possibly can been seen in person. Maybe I will add what building it was some day.

  4. My advice to all who want to visit these locations is be careful, a lot these locations are in the gang infested slums of Chicago trust me I was born and raised and still live here, I say just stick to the downtown area locations you'll be safe there but any of the south side locations trust me STAY OUT and don't forget Chicago averages 600 plus murders a year more then any other US city

  5. From the U.S. Marshall's office view of the Wrigley Building clock, the building is probably 401 North Michigan Avenue. I worked in the building and had that nice view.

  6. The scenes on the bus with the train wreck were filmed just outside of Dillsboro, North Carolina on the Great Smoky Mountains Railway. They still have the wrecked bus and train locomotives on display there. A Google Image search for "Illinois Southern" should turn these up. The dam that Kimball "jumped" from is the Cheoah Dam in rural western North Carolina. The hospital where Kimball field dresses his injuries and shaves his beard is in Sylva, North Carolina.

  7. The Stock Yards 76 truck stop scene was shot in Canaryville, 45th and Halsted. The truck stop is no longer there.

  8. On the DVD commentary the director said the street where Dr Nichols gives Harrison some money, after he left the tennis club, is called Lower Wacker Drive, different streets are listed here

    1. Hello, thank you for your comment. I am 99% sure I am correct. Lower Wacker Drive is on the other side of the river. The tennis club is on the other side of the river away from Lower Wacker Drive.

    2. Lower wacker drive - the michigan avenue bridge has two levels (who knew) - so the corner where the money exchange takes place is lower Kinzie and Lower Michigan. Just across the street from the Billy Goat.

  9. I have pictures of the ACTUAL prison bus used, the train and other locations like the dam and hospital where he steals the ambulance. Google 'Flickr MrLocation Fugitive' or follow the link to the left of Chas' front page 'Mr. Location'.

  10. As a 2nd grader, I met Harrison Ford when they were filming the The Thrift Store scene. My teacher pulled us out of class to meet him, I was attending Phillip H Sheridan Elementary school - which is now Arnold Mireles. me being oblivious to any of Harrison's films, didn't have a clue who he was. One of my favorite films to this date.

  11. You refer to him as "Bimble" a couple a times. Thanks for the info. This will come in handy when I'm in Chicago!

  12. When Harrison Ford is remembering being in the car with Sela Ward they pass the former White Hen Pantry (now 7-11) at 2710 N. Lincoln Avenue in Chicago (you can make out the White Hen Pantry name through Harrison Ford's car window.

  13. another scene is taken from the medical district near hyde park, where there is an archway. there are a couple different spots that have a similar archway, but, I know for a fact there is one at 949 east 58th st. you can actually do a google map and see it. I have a movie still of Ford standing outside of it

  14. This is awesome. I'm headed to Chicago soon and am figuring out a "The Fugitive" walking tour (of the downtown locations) for me and my sister, with whom I watched the movie countless times.

  15. Where is the phone box that Kimble made the fake doctor calls from following the blind cleaning scene to find the one eyed man?

  16. There were some scenes shot inside County if I'm not mistaken. I read an interview on which Ford mentions that, the cleaning scene being one. Of course most of the wings at County are torn down now, just the main structure remains.

  17. I believe some scenes, including the cleaning scene, we're filmed inside County Hospital per an interview I read. Of course all the wings and buildings except the main one are now torn down.

  18. Kimball's house, in which he pours a glass of wine in the kitchen under the wavy lights of their indoor pool before heading upstairs to find her being murdered by the one-armed man, has been for sale for some time. You can get a good look at the interior of the home, including the pool and the strange catwalk, on Redfin: https://www.redfin.com/IL/Chicago/336-W-Wisconsin-St-60614/home/26829605

  19. You won't find an address for the North Bank Club, as it is the west side of the Wrigley Saturday Building and there isn't an entrance at that location. 405 is a good approximation.
